Job Summary:
A Truck Driver at R.N. Apex Solutions Ltd. plays a vital role in the supply chain by safely operating heavy vehicles, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, maintaining accurate logs, and performing equipment inspections while adhering to strict safety regulations and provincial standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Minimum Skills Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Prior work experience is an asset;
• Fluency in written and verbal English is required;
• Must be dependable, reliable and have effective interpersonal skills.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
• AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
