CHILD CAREGIVER – PRIVATE HOME Full Time

Location: Yellowknife, NWT

Main Intersection: Haener Dr. and Niven Dr.

Salary: $12.50 hourly (5 hours of overtime at $18.75 per hour) = $593.75/week

Hours of work: 45 hours per week

Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 – 5:00 with 60 minutes paid break

Days Off: Sunday and Wednesday

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Language: English

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-Time

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate

Experience: Experience an asset

Children’s Age: 4 years old, 1 years old

Additional Skills: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; assume full responsibility for

household in absence of parents

Work Setting: Employer’s home; Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Specific Skills: Tend to emotional well-being of children; Supervise and care for children; Prepare and serve nutritious meals; Organize, activities such as games and outings for children; Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development; Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents; Bathe, dress and feed children; Prepare children for rest periods.
