Job Description
Duties:
• Operate stone saws and cutting equipment to cut marble, granite and other stone materials according to required measurements and specifications.
• Measure, mark and position stone slabs and tiles accurately before cutting.
• Set up and adjust saws and cutting equipment to achieve required dimensions and cuts.
• Safely load, position and secure stone slabs and tiles on cutting equipment.
• Monitor cutting operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate and consistent cuts.
• Drill holes and make required openings in stone slabs according to project specifications.
• Inspect finished pieces for accurate dimensions, quality, cracks, chips and other defects.
• Grind and smooth cut edges and surfaces when required.
• Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of saws and related equipment.
• Record quantities, sizes and types of stone products processed.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when operating machinery and handling stone materials.

Requirements:
• Ability to read and understand measurements and cutting specifications.
• Basic ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Good physical ability to handle and work with stone materials safely.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work accurately with attention to detail.

Experience:
6 months to 1 year of experience operating stone saws or similar stone-cutting equipment is required.
