Job Responsibilities
Assist in the team planning and implementation of an effective age-appropriate child development program to meet the social, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth
of each child.
Provide learning experiences based on childrens curiosity including language, math, science, music and movement, arts, dramatic play, and physical activity.
Maintain and oversee a positive, safe, developmentally appropriate, organized, and creative learning environment.
Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with children, parents, and co-workers.
Observe and record relevant information on each childs progress and prepare personalized student portfolio.
Initiate and maintain effective communication with parents at the Centre and provide them with all information and resources regarding child development issues.
Explaining to parents the program, the philosophy of child development, upcoming events and sharing with them any observations or special items noted about
their child.
Work cooperatively as a member of the Centre team in its effort to implement high quality childcare including active participation in regularly scheduled staff
meetings and staff development workshops.
Care for children and their needs at the Centre including dressing, meals, and hygiene.
