In this role, you’ll represent Westland by working closely with our internal BC brokers to assess and manage risk levels associated with insurance policies. Your expertise will help ensure we provide the right coverage solutions for our clients.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $47,500 to $59,400 with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience while considering internal equity.

Why we’ll love You:
You take an analytical and detail-oriented approach to assessing risk
You are eager to grow your underwriting expertise and apply sound judgment in decision-making
You are independent, self-motivated, and have a solid understanding of underwriting principles
You have at least 2-3 years of underwriting experience
Once here, you’ll:
Work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with brokers and insurance partners to evaluate risks
Assess applications from internal brokers and apply appropriate underwriting terms
Conduct file reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines
Manage multiple tasks effectively while contributing to process improvements
Learn from and support senior team members as you develop your underwriting skills
