About the Position
We are seeking a reliable child care provider to care for one school-aged child in our home.
Duties
Supervise and care for the child.
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks and assist with personal hygiene and daily routines.
Organize age-appropriate activities, including reading, games, crafts and outdoor play.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Support the child’s emotional well-being and social development.
Follow the parents’ instructions regarding routines and behaviour.
Perform light housekeeping related to the child’s care.

Requirements
Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
At least one year of relevant child-care experience in a private household, daycare or similar setting.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform child-care duties safely.
First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain both before starting work.
Related child-care training is an asset.
Satisfactory job-related references and an appropriate background check before employment begins.
