Responsibilities/ Tasks:
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards;
• Create new recipes and menus for the restaurant;
• Supervise and instruct cooks and other kitchen staff;
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen along with maintaining inventory of food, supplies and equipment;
• May assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff as required;
• Ensure optimal level of sanitation and safety standards in work area at all times;
• Monitor and maintain clean working area and cooking surfaces;
• Monitor and ensure exact measurement of all ingredients for all food items;
• Evaluate all food ingredients adhere to food safety standards;
• Perform other duties when required.
