Cafe Manager Full Time

We have an opportunity for a full Cafe Manager at our new location in Squamish, British Columbia.

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week (5 x 8-hour shifts). Schedule is flexible based on business needs; days and hours are not fixed and may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Wage: $27.69/hour

Job duties:
• Lead, motivate, and supervise cafe staff, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management;
• Oversee day-to-day cafe operations, including food and beverage preparation, quality, and consistency;
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and negotiate pricing with suppliers to control food cost;
• Process and coordinate catering orders for customers;
• Ensure the cafe meets Food Safe and workplace health and safety standards, including regular inspection of equipment, ventilation, and fire safety systems;
• Respond to and resolve customer concerns, and maintain a welcoming, high-quality customer experience;
• Monitor sales performance and financial reports, and implement measures to control food and labour costs;
• Prepare and submit staff schedules and payroll within allocated labour budget;
• Develop and execute local marketing and promotional initiatives to grow the business;
• Build relationships with local suppliers, community organizations, and business groups;
• Onboard new staff, ensuring understanding of role expectations, company policies, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
• Completion of a hospitality management or business management diploma or certificate
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• 2-3 years of restaurant or cafe experience
