Hiring Skilled Baker’s NOC63202 Company: Boulangerie La Vendéenne Incorporée Location: 500 Hwy 325, Blockhouse, Nova Scotia, Canada
Responsibilities:
Prepare doughs and batters for pies, breads, biscuits, brioche, cookies, and cakes.
Prepare frostings, glazes, and ganache for specialty cakes and pies.
Bake mixed doughs and batters, ensuring consistent quality.
Frost and decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods with consistency and precision.
Prepare dough for pie crusts and traditional French and Canadian pastries.
Operate bakery equipment, including commercial mixers, dough sheeters, ovens, and dishwashers.
Weigh, scale, and mix ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all products meet company quality and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team and work independently when needed.
Manage time efficiently to meet production schedules.
Qualifications:
Be able to mix, shape and bake breads in large volumes. Experience with classic and specialty pastries such as croissant dough and puff pastry.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Experience in a commercial bakery environment is an asset.
