Salary: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour (Commensurate with specialized experience and certifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime as required (Monday to Friday)
Job Description: Fix Auto Stoney Creek is seeking a high-level Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record in high-volume, high-quality collision centers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive structural analysis and damage repair estimates.
• Execute advanced frame straightening using underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
• Expert application of primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using both solvent-based and water-borne products.
• Mastery of paint mixing, precision color matching, and complex blending techniques.
• Perform specialized steel and fiberglass welding.
• Replace major body components, including doors, frames, and front-end assemblies.
• Manage end-to-end surface preparation: filing, grinding, sanding, masking, and sealing.
• Conduct final detailing and high-end polishing to ensure quality control.
Experience: A minimum of 5 to 6 years of professional experience as an Automotive Painter and Body Shop Technician is mandatory.
• Required Technical Certifications:
o Valid certification or proven expertise in water-borne and solvent-based paint systems.
o Manufacturer-specific training or certification from major automotive paint brands (e.g., PPG, Sikkens, or equivalent) will be considered a strong asset.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Language Requirements: English is required.
