Job Title: Early Childhood Educator
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: 120-3721 Delbrook Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7N 3Z4
Working Hours: 35 hours/week
Hourly Wage: $26/hour
Language Requirement: English

Job Duties:

· Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
· Supervise, mentor, and organize Early Childhood Educator Assistants to ensure smooth operation and teamwork.
· Facilitate and engage young children in indoor and outdoor activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing craft materials.
· Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by monitoring children during playtime, meals, and other activities.
· Deliver high-quality childcare and foster the development of healthy and positive daily habits in children.
· Assess children’s abilities, needs, and progress, sharing observations with parents and co-workers to foster collaborative support.
· Observe and document children’s learning behaviors and developmental milestones, providing regular reports.
· Manage the daycare’s opening and closing procedures and ensure the classroom and play areas remain clean, safe, and organized.

Employment Requirement

· A two-year college diploma in Early Childhood Education is required at a minimum.
· A valid BC ECE Certificate is required.
· Prior experience in childcare is required.
· Familiarity with Montessori teaching strategies is preferred.
· Clean criminal record check.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
· A genuine passion for working with young children.
