We are seeking a senior software developer that has hands-on experience in mobile application development.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development
Your Moneris Career – What you’ll do
Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle for multiple small to large-scale Android projects, intended for multiple card accepting payment devices, e.g. standalone desktop and mobile POS terminals, pinpads, and unattended payment devices.
Design, develop and support user-focused mobile-based applications and programs for Android.
Lead the full stack and lifecycle of main software applications from brainstorming to execution.
Create complex software solutions that have broad organizational or client impact.
Mentor other software developers to support their performance and pass on knowledge.
Your Moneris Career – What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science or at least 6 years of experience working in software development, or business intelligence environments.
5 years’ experience in Android mobile application development
Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
Good understanding of and ability to navigate through C/C++ code, and adjust the code, if necessary, to suit new requirements/bug fixes
5 years’ experience in front-end apps on Android
Hands-on experience building a mobile app using Java, Kotlin, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux, Router, HTML5, CSS3 on Android
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Practical experiencing working within an agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
Fluency in Jira/Confluence – must exhibit an advanced user level.
