The QC Manager is responsible for managing the Project Quality Organization, developing the Quality Management Plan, implementing CAM’s Management System and overall quality performance within Maintenance, Turnarounds, and Projects. Verify Sites quality objectives are being met and that quality requirements are delivered as per contract-referenced specifications and standards.
QC Manager will directly report to the Site Manager and functionally to the Quality Director.
Roles and Responsibilities are as follows:
Implementation of CAM’s Quality Control Program on the project.
Liaison with Client & AI.
Recruiting QC Personnel as required by prevailing workloads.
Reviewing Work Packages and developing ITPs.
Supervising and Coaching QC Personnel.
Log & Verify the resolution of NCRs.
Interpreting Welding Procedures.
Providing QC Training.
Coordinating NDE and PWHT Personnel.
Ensuring QC Turnover Packages are complete and submitted to Client / AI.
Managing Welder Qualifications.
Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of practical experience as a Senior QC Inspector in an Industrial Environment.
Minimum CWB Level 2 or 3 / AWS CWI or SCWI
Consideration is given to the following:
Professional Mech. Engineer
API 510, 570 Inspector
Welding or Material Tech Diploma
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Provincial Acts and Regulations and Construction Codes such as API, CSA, ASME, ANSI, ACI, NACE, IEEE, IBC, NEMA, NBIC, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend WPS and weld Details.
Knowledge and use of computers and software
Experience Managing Project Turnover.
