The Pursuits Lead is relied on to support the development of persuasive bid materials with the ultimate goal of winning new contract opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the production of compelling, persuasive bid documents and associated pursuit materials.
• Review all client pursuit documentation to understand scope and bid requirements.
• To set internal deadlines for the pursuit process for subject matter experts including commercial and estimating.
• Provide direction to multiple SME departments across the organization to ensure their assigned tasks are clearly understood, risks are addressed, and deadlines are achieved.
• Active collaboration with Civeo’s Sales team to define the bid strategy and win themes.
• Collect all clarifying questions from SMEs and communicate client responses to all internal pursuit stakeholders.
• Review, edit, and approve all work product provided from SMEs to ensure
  1. deliverables comply with established standards and are “client ready”,
  2. the information provided is complete, accurate, and RFP-compliant, and
  3. there is coherence between Technical and Commercial content and messaging.
• Ensure the proposal structure complies with the client’s RFP requirements.
• Ensure all bid documentation adheres to Civeo’s standards, practices, and branding guidelines.
• Conduct internal post-mortem review on each pursuit, won or lost, to identify opportunities for improvement and coaching opportunities for SME contributors.
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance of the Pursuits Library, the source of truth for all standardized bid assets (static documents, templates, graphics, images, etc.).
• Provide input for the ongoing advancement of the systems, standards, and practices that build efficiencies, accuracy, and speed into Civeo’s bid process.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years’ experience working in a sales or marketing environment managing complex technical pursuits.
• Exceptional business/technical writing skills with the ability to draft persuasive, concise, clear, and accurate content.
• Experience in construction/engineering, and/or professional services is favorable, but not essential.
• Strong project management skills with an ability to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with internal stakeholders and team members through regular dialogue and coaching.
• Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically, InDesign), Salesforce CRM and web-based interfaces.
• Knowledge of document management methods within a SharePoint environment.
• Must be willing to work occasional overtime (evenings/weekends) to meet deadlines when necessary.
• Ability to write in both official languages (English and French) is favorable, but not essential.
