Job Duties:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for oversight of plant operation activities including pyrolysis, recovered carbon black processing, thermal oil systems, shredding, and material handling. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise, schedule and coordinate work for production operators and plant technicians
• Monitor pyrolysis reactors, thermal oil systems, tire shredding lines & carbon black finishing units
• Ensure daily production targets, throughput efficiency and quality parameters are met
• Train staff on SOPs, safety procedures, start-up/shutdown and emergency protocols
• Inspect product output including rCB, TPO and steel for quality and consistency
• Maintain logs for output, downtime, equipment readings, and process deviations
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs
• Implement continuous improvement programs to increase yield and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with environmental, emissions, and OHSA safety regulations
• Oversee loading/unloading, packaging, storage & dispatch of finished products
• Prepare operational performance reports for management review
Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, refinery or related environment
• Experience in team supervision or lead-hand role required
• Knowledge of thermal systems, heat exchangers, PLC/SCADA, pumps and reactors preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, safety awareness and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work under production targets, pressure and rotating shifts when required
