The Seaspan Marine Port Captain is accountable for the efficient operation of the marine fleet and reports to the Manager, Vessel Operations. Working in collaboration with various departments within Marine Operations and the HSEQ Departments, this position ensures operation standards and safety procedures are in place and all requirements with respect to vessel and crew safety are met. This position will require weekend flexibility with a 5 day per week schedule. This role also provides leadership in opening communication lines between the corporate office and all seagoing personnel, motivating employee performance and promoting strong team morale. Port Captains work a rotational on call schedule providing supervisory support to vessel crews and other departments.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 10 Pemberton in North Vancouver.

The estimated salary for this position is $103,500 – $126,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
