Picker Full Time

You will pick copper off moving conveyor and clean around mill. You will also assist shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts and greasing.

Must have reliable transportation to and from work (remote location, not accessible by bus). Must have a valid drivers license to be able to drive work truck on site.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Keeps work area clean and ready to go daily

• Keeps conveyor pulleys clean

• Picks copper to ensure that quality material is shipped to our customers

• Reports any issues that arise immediately 

• Assists shredder mechanics during projects

• Assists in meeting monthly production goals

Requirements

• Completion of High School and/or equivalent

• Able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day

• Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions including hot, dry summer conditions and cold, harsh winter conditions

• Willing and able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in dust, odors, fumes, and noise

• Ability to learn and follow direction

• Mechanically inclined

• Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so

• Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently, work safely and making sure everyone around him are working safely

• Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
