Administrative Assistant for Nomad Nutrition
Nomad Nutrition (located at 101-3650 Bonneville PL, Burnaby, BC V3n 4T7) is a plant-based (read: vegan) health food startup based in Burnaby focusing on manufacturing healthy, organic, plant-based dried ready-to-eat meals for the outdoor community and we cook everything in-house from scratch.
• Position: Administrative Assistant
• Location: 101-3650 Bonneville Pl, Burnaby, BC V3N 4T7
• Salary: $21.50 / Hour.
• Vacancies: 1 Vacancies
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40 Hours / Week.
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Benefits: N/A
• Employment conditions: From 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
Determine and establish office procedures
Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person
Answer customer service calls and email
May supervise and train office staff in procedures
Ensure ongoing communication with Nomad Nutrition Leadership Team and Management to drive sustained results
Identifies process and productivity improvements and lead projects to create better efficiency
Be fully familiar with all Nomad product offerings, including pricing and production applications
Assist the CEO on production planning process including short term and long-term production plans, employee requirements to support seasonal forecasts.
Weekly and monthly scheduling staff
Oversee shipping and receiving
Assist in managing and updating inventory tracking system
Organize the office, Warehouse and keep a tidy place at work
Various other duties as required.
• Languages: English
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Completion of a one- or two-year college or other program focused on administration or business.
• Experience: 1 year of Administration Position
Past experience in small business is an asset
Past experience working in the kitchen is an asset (since the worker will interact with the cook to create documents regarding recipes, food price, cost of production, among other things)
Previous experience with importation and exportation is a requirement, since the assistant will be supporting the CEO in supply chain from China.
