Mobilize Jobs is offering a wonderful opportunity for an individual with a passion for serving and wanting to enhance their customer service skills. You’ll be working in an amazing resort, with a supportive team, in a busy and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and have a willingness to learn, work in a fast-paced manner, and provide outstanding service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Preparing room for dining by setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, table cloths, and utensils as necessary.
Protecting the establishment and it’s customers by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Helping customers select food and beverages by presenting menu; suggesting courses if asked; explaining the specialties; identifying appropriate beverages which may compliment selected courses; answering questions regarding food preparation and timings.
Relays orders to kitchen by noting the customers’ choices; identifying any special dietary needs and requests.
Ensures kitchen staff is informed by noting timings of meal.
Serving customers by picking up and delivering orders; ensuring necessary condiments are presented.
Inquiring additional needs of customers by observing dining progress discreetly.
Ensuring to remove courses as completed; replenishing utensils if required; refilling water glasses; being alert to spills or other needs.
Presenting total charges; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
Assist teammates as required/needed.
HOW OUR PROGRAM WORKS:
Full-time, paid work. This will be provincial server minimum wage, plus gratuities and performance bonuses, and your accommodations are taken care of.
There are no fees for job seekers.
This position will last for 6 months.
Once your time has been completed, you’ll walk away with new job references, new friends and memories to last a lifetime. If you want to stay on after your deployment, that option exists!
HOUSING IS COVERED:
Over the course of your time with Mobilize Jobs, all housing costs will be covered by the Mobilize program.
The program works in groups of “Mobilizers,” so if you have friends you would like to live with, make sure you apply together!
Customer service or hospitality experience is an asset but not a requirement.
Must be 18 and be legally able to work in Canada.
Provide a clear criminal background check.
Liquor license to be able to serve and work with alcohol.
A sense of adventure!
This position is not suitable for students returning to school in September.
