Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Physician to join our healthcare team in Alberta. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, chronic disease management, and health education. The role is suited to physicians who are committed to patient-centered care and collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Provide preventive care and health promotion
• Coordinate patient care with other health professionals, specialists, and community services
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in on-call rotation (if applicable)
• Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to clinical best practices
• May include minor procedures and women’s health services, depending on scope
• Foster long-term relationships with patients and families
Qualifications:
• Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
• Certification in Family Medicine ( CCFP – College of Family Physicians of Canada)
• Full or Provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• CMPA membership (Canadian Medical Protective Association)
• Eligible for billing under Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with EMR systems ( Telus Health, Med Access) is an asset
Compensation:
• Fee-for-service
• Competitive income potential depending on patient volume and services provided ($350,000-$400,000 Annually)
• Overhead costs split
