Restaurant Type: Fusion of East African, East Indian Culinary, West Indian, South Indian, International.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Indian fusion cuisine & International and individual dishes and foods.
Prepares ingredients by following recipes, slicing, cutting, marinating stirring mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste and plating meals.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage and work areas.
Check food and ingredients for freshness.
Assists with receipt of deliveries.
Serves meals by reviewing recipes, assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients.
Ensure kitchen area is thoroughly clean, maintain and sanitize.
Assists with orienting new employees to their work area and may train staff.
Education: Completion of secondary school education required
Experience: Completion of college OR other program in cooking OR several years of commercial cooking experience
Hard working individual, available to afternoon, evening, and weekend(s)
