Park Place Seniors Living owns and operates seniors’ care homes throughout BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Due to continued growth we are seeking an Accounting Technician to join our team. Our head office is located in south Vancouver. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Technician will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivables and other administrative duties.
This is a permanent full-time salaried position with full health benefits.
• Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices and payments;
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies and past due payables;
• Prepare monthly invoices and apply incoming payments;
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations;
• Assist with bank functions carried out by the department and site administrators; and,
• Ad hoc accounting projects and a variety of other duties.
Requirements:
• Technical accounting knowledge;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities;
• Ability to complete duties with minimal supervision;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Strong A/P and A/R background;
• Creative problem solving skills, with a view to efficiency and process improvement;
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and Word skills;
• High attention to detail;
• Team player with experience in a cooperative and collaborative environment;
• Experience in the property management, development or health services sector; and,
• Microsoft Dynamics or comparable ERP experience an asset.

• Be tactful, diplomatic and discreet with the interpersonal skills to establish and sustain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external parties including site administrators, senior accountants, suppliers, health authority contacts and auditors; and
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
